New GPS for geocaching - Delorme PN-40 or Oregon 400T?

I thirst for to get into geocaching. I am looking at the Delorme PN-40 or Oregon 400T. Is one way better than the next? Is there another cooler GPS that I'm overlooking?

The PN-40 is an attractive possibility, but I've yet to hear any solid reports of anyone using one for caching. The Oregon is more caching oriented than the PN-40, but reports I've seen in forums and blogs are unenthusiastic. The most common unit among serious cachers seems to be the tried and true Garmin 60CSx, with street prices in the $250-300

I am new to the just ecstatic of GPS. I purchased a DeLorme PN-40 about 3 months ago. I am slowly lore how it works. I am having a more than intractable once in a while with lore The Topo 8 software that came with it. I require to be gifted to use the simplest software present to sire routes, tracks, waypoints, and keep them to my PN-40. I am currently a guy on the trails bodily, and so my accepted demand for a GPS part has not in fact been of the utmost importance. It is only a fun device that I can see where I've been. As prolonged as I strengthen on the trails, I am not reliable I'll ever have a Cyclopean call for this. But in worrying to learn it, I am interested in planning a few day hikes and an overnighter or two, where I could contrive my itinerary, and put it on my PN-40, and then see how far along the route I am. Though I'm assured it's profligate to say this, I have found GPS programs on my IPhone which are much simpler to use and seem to be way more complex! Of track I don't suppose anybody GPS'd there way up Everest with an IPhone! The IPhone programs (some which price up to $10) are so frank you nothing but take into custody up where you are located. Hit start, take a photo now and again along the dog, liberate waypoints if you keenness, hit cessation when you're finished, and upload it all to a website that shows the map, your process, your photos along the technique and all of your stats, elevations, distances, ascents, descents, moment enchanted, stretch rested, etc. Not to cite, when you aspect where you are, it's using Google disciple images, and it's reasonable so darn clean! This is what I was hoping to get out of my Delorme, since their are many areas I foresee that I will hike where I won't get welcome on my IPhone. I understand that one mere hornet's nest is battery entity on my IPhone is good-looking well drained after about 5-6 hours of GPS. Is there anyway that I can get what I legitimate mentioned out of my Delorme PN-40, say along with some website, or software that's within reach. I accurate would like an retort to this.
